Stories and documentaries for kids

Stories with something to say.

While so much kids’ content just fills the time, every Kina story has something to say — how rain is born, how families live together, how fear has a name. You choose the theme, the language and the moment. The child only listens, and the audio ends on its own when sleep comes. Premium subscribers can also read the full text of every story.

The routine

The room already knows the way

This is not an app for a child to tap through alone. The caregiver picks the audio. The child just listens.

  1. Dusk

    Choose the story

Theme, language and length. The moon window shows the cover. Nature, families, how the world works.

  2. Night

    Listen together

The player goes dark. Sleep timer, speed, and optional follow-along text. The screen recedes; the voice stays.

  3. Sleep

The audio fades on its own

Volume eases down and the track pauses. “End of the story” waits for the last second. The dark is set just right.

The library

Every story has something to say.

Diversity, empathy, plural families, feelings, and care for the living world. Each story has one narration per language — a single voice tells the whole thing.

  • How it works

Why does it rain? How does a plane fly? Stories that open up the world to see what is inside.

  • Nature

Animals, forests and seasons: stories to get to know — and care for — the nature that lives all around us.

  • Emotions

Fear, anger, jealousy, joy: stories that help put a name to what we feel.

  • Together

Friendship, listening and care for the person beside you: stories about finding your place with someone.

On the device

Made for the bedroom, not the feed

Listening happens in the bedroom. The app follows that place — not the other way around.

  • Four languages, one routine

Interface and audio in English, Portuguese, Spanish and German. Hear each story in the language of the house — or the one you are learning.

  • Night mode and sleep timer

The player dims with the room. The timer fades the volume and pauses on its own, including at the end of the story.

  • Offline listening

On Premium, download the audio and listen with no signal. Road trip, cabin, plane: the library comes along.

  • Everything stays on the device

Favorites, recents and the child’s name stay on this device. A child’s profile never becomes a cloud account.

  • New stories every week

Premium opens the whole library — and every week new stories arrive, so storytime never replays the same rail.

Children first

The account is the caregiver’s. Always.

Nothing reaches the library without review. No child’s data becomes an account. Compliance is how we build — not a footer badge.

  • Caregiver login

Google or email. The child’s notebook — name, favorites, progress — stays on the device.

  • Editorial review

Every AI-made audio passes children’s-content safeguards before it is published. Generate → review → approve → library.

  • COPPA, GDPR-K and LGPD

Ages up to 11. Vocabulary, length and narration fitted to the band. No tracking a child.

Questions

Before you switch off the lamp

Is Kina Stories a reading app or an audio app?

It is an audio-story app. Follow-along text is there if you want it, but the point is to listen together — at bedtime or any time of day.

What ages is it for?

Up to 11, with a minimum age on each story (4+, 7+…). The caregiver chooses. The account is never the child’s.

Which languages are available?

English, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish and German — in the interface and in the narrations. French and Mandarin come in a later wave.

Can we listen offline?

Yes. On Premium you download the audio and listen with no signal. The notebook (progress, favorites) stays on the device.

Do you use the child’s data?

Not for an account or a profile. The name and preferences stay in the local notebook. Login is only for the caregiver — subscription and new devices.

Is there an iPhone app?

The first version is Android. iOS comes after the library and studio are steady on the first system.

Isn’t this just a playlist of stories on YouTube?

With video, the child is one tap from the next clip — and the app suggests, glows and never ends. Here the caregiver chooses the track, the child only listens, and the narration has an ending: the volume fades and the player pauses on its own. No feed to scroll, no child profile.
